Renaissance Backdrops was officially registered in 1998 In Oak Lawn Il. by Juan Cedeno & Honorio Cedeño, after graduating from Columbia College Chicago

Juan & Honorio have been artist all their life, always working side by side, taking commission jobs since attending High School. Worked as Airbrush artist, painting murals, vehicle graphics, drawing, painting, etc. They had their hands on any artistic project they can handel.

Once in college they freelanced for backdrop manufacturers for 4 years to pay their college tuition. Taking major courses in Art, Painting, Illustration, Drawing,Computer Graphics, Scene Painting, 3D modeling, Digital Graphics, Photography, 2D animation, Jewelry making, just about any art class offered.

Our experience as Artist & struggling students is the reason we pride our self's in keeping our business local, offering hand painted items and materials purchased in the USA, keeping quality to a maximum level, considering local artist and encouraging Columbia College students to join us in our adventure, supporting new artist's passion & dreams.
